Lehighton High School graduate Katie Higgins has started all seven games for the University of Georgia Division 1 women’s soccer team this season.

Higgins, a sophomore midfielder, was named one of the Bulldogs co-captains prior to the start of the season.

Higgins has played in nearly 90 percent of the team’s minutes as Georgia has compiled a 3-3-1 record. She has taken seven shots and has one shot on goal.

A year ago as a freshman, Higgins played in 14 games, starting eight and scoring one goal.

The Bulldogs begin Southeast Conference play on Thursday against Arkansas.
