Indians, Raiders sweep
The Lehighton and Tamaqua volleyball teams picked up victories on Monday.
VOLLEYBALL
ES North-Lehighton
Lehighton cruised to a 25-13, 25-19, 25-10 non-league victory over East Stroudsburg North.
Emily Miller had 10 kills, three aces and two digs for the Indians (3-1). Lillian Brown posted nine digs to go along with two aces, while Alyssa Frey had 14 assists, three kills and one dig.
Lehighton won the JV match, 2-0.
Tamaqua-Catasauqua
Tamaqua posted a 25-21, 25-7, 25-11 win over Catasauqua in a non-league contest.
Emily Amershek had 16 kills and three aces for the Raiders. Caroline Balogach recorded five aces, four kills and two blocks, and Maddie Baddick tallied 10 assists.
Palmerton-Allen
Allen swept Palmerton 25-21, 25-17, 25-13 in a non-league match.
Grace Ingram had 13 kills, nine aces and six blocks for the Canaries.
JR. HIGH BBALL
Mahanoy-Weatherly
Weatherly rolled to a 48-14 win over Mahanoy Area.
Ashley Pleban and Jackie Guth scored 12 points apiece for the Wreckers. Emma Kane added 11 points.
Nativity-Tamaqua
Nativity picked up a 33-24 victory against Tamaqua.
Brennan scored 11 points for Nativity, while Kramer tallied 10.
Lorelei Plasha paced the Raiders with 10 points.
