Firefighters quell Lansford house fire

Fire companies from Lansford, Summit Hill and Coaldale responded to a dwelling fire Sunday morning in Lansford. The fire was reported just after 11 a.m. at 119 East Patterson street.

Firefighters quickly brought the incident under control.

Exhaust fans were used to remove smoke and fumes from the home.

No injuries were reported in the incident. Patterson Street and Route 209 were closed to traffic for over an hour.

Lansford police and fire police maintained traffic control at the scene.
