Ametek presents donation to Carbon County Animal Shelter
Dogs are man’s best friend.
On Thursday, John Mayernik, plant manager of Ametek, presented the Carbon County commissioners with a $500 donation from the two divisions of the company to help with the Carbon County Animal Shelter’s operations.
“We want to thank the shelter for all they do,” Mayernik said, adding that some Ametek employees toured the animal shelter on the Broad Mountain in Nesquehoning last week and were very impressed.
The commissioners thanked Mayernik and Ametek for the donation.
The animal shelter recently underwent major renovations thanks to donations from the community to make it a better environment for the dogs while they wait for their forever homes.

• Accepted the resignation of Tyler J. Breznitsky of Freeland, law clerk of court administration, effective Sept. 7.
