Police find drugs in traffic stop

Jordan Michael Tessitore, 24, of East Patterson Street in Lansford, was charged by Coaldale Police after a traffic stop on July 21.

Tessitore was a passenger in a vehicle being driven by his brother, which was stopped for a traffic violation.

The driver consented to have his vehicle searched.

Officers found 31 wax packets containing a white powdery substance, $535, various hypodermic needles, empty wax packets and a glass pipe with a white, crystal like substance.

The items were found in a backpack owned by Jordan Tessitore.

He was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
