A look back: Sept. 25, 1955

The Rev. Francis Marzen was the guest of honor at a farewell party Saturday night by his former classmates of St. Joseph’s School, Jim Thorpe, at Our Lady of the Hills Camp, Germantown.

The young priest, who is stationed in the Honolulu Diocese, will leave for Hawaii in October after spending the past two months with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marzen, North Street.

The successful reunion was planned by Charles Wildoner and Phillip Rodgers. A program of entertainment was prepared by Joseph Lazorick and featured Jean Herman, Connie Herman, John Crowley and Thomas Huber. Nancy Haggerty served as accompanist.
