Local Misericordia student participates in service project

    First-year students from the Misericordia University, Dallas, Class of 2022, Dave Frantz, sport management major from Lehighton, and Jared Kay, a sport management major from Lewes, Delaware, help plant a tree at Patriot’s Cove fishing retreat for disabled veterans as part of the eighth annual Misericordia Orientation Days of Service. The incoming class of 412 first-year students, accompanied by 85 orientation leaders and 31 staff and faculty volunteers, fanned out to 11 locations across the region for the eighth annual Orientation Days of Service Aug. 25-26. The program offers students an opportunity to learn about their new environment and provides them with the first occasion for learning and living the university’s mission of providing service to others in need.
