Art Around the Park in Weissport

The borough of Weissport will be having its first “Art Around The Park” day from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 6. Artists and photographers will be showcasing their works in four different locations.

The Gallery, located next to Chantilly Goods Ice Cream Parlor, is hosting the event. The Gallery features photography from five photographers, as well as an artist who specializes in oil and charcoal and a blacksmith.

Other participants in the “Art Around The Park” Day will be exhibiting in the borough’s three churches: Jacob’s United Church of Christ, Christ Community Church and Hope Community Fellowship Church.

Interested artists should contact Jeff Elder at 484-221-0325 to reserve a spot. There are no fees to set up, but donations to the National Alzheimer’s Association will be accepted.

Hayrides will also be given at the Weissport Canal and Harley The Pig, aka “Pigcasso,” will be in the park creating “Pig Art.”

Set up for all artists will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 5 or from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday.
