Cause of Sun Valley fire may never be determined

The Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal says that the cause of the fire that destroyed a home in Sun Valley earlier this week may never be known.

Police said that fire was so intense and destructive that there was little left to determine the cause.

The area that appeared to be closest to the point of origin was a basement/garage area and that a car was parked in the garage at the time of the fire, according to police.

The Monroe County Coroner’s office has not released the name of the victim at this time saying that a positive identification has not yet been made.
