October 1, 1955 — A 99-yard touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter lifts Palmerton to a 13-12 Lehigh Valley League victory over Stroudsburg. The Blue Bombers defense comes up with a goal-line stand with two minutes to play, stopping the Mounties at the 1-yard line. On the next play, Tom Wargo connects with Mike Pritko at the 10 and Pritko races the remaing 90 yards for the winning score. Wargo accounts for Palmerton’s other tally, scoring on a 45-yard punt return in the second quarter.
