Trinity Thrift Store observes 40 years of service
The Trinity Thrift Store at Third and Iron streets in Lehighton recently observed 40 years of service. It began as a way to assist the community in living within their budgets and donating their gently used clothing. The Thrift Store ministry has grown since its two rooms of tables in 1978. All sales receipts support the food pantry. Shown are current and former volunteers. Front, from left, the Rev. Nancy Moore, pastor; Kay Patterson, manager; Kelly Hoffman; and Sarah Dalton. Back row, Vercilla Solt, Sandy Miller, Susan Tatro and Sharon Young. The congregation expressed its gratitude to all volunteers for their donations of time and merchandise for the past 40 years, and looks forward to what comes next. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
