A look back: Oct. 10, 1966

Mrs. Harry Steigerwalt of Lehighton was installed as president of the Four-County Council, American Legion Auxiliaries, during the monthly meeting of the council held in the Lehighton Legion Home.

She succeeds Mrs. Kenneth Achey of Gilbert.

Other officers installed were Joan Bittenberner, Wind Gap, first vice president; Philomena Fauzio, Nesquehoning, second vice president; Elizabeth Moore, Easton, secretary; Louella West, Catasauqua, treasurer; Dorothy Black, Lehighton, chaplain; Marge Gordon, Bethlehem, historian; Bertha Edelstein, Lansford, senior sergeant-at-arms; and Elmira Schmidt, Stroudsburg, junior sergeant-at-arms.
