Cited for liquor law violations
A Lehighton bar has been cited a second time by the PA State Police, Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, for violation of the state’s liquor laws.
Ruby’s Saloon, 298 Bridge St. was cited on Aug. 2.
Police said the licensee failed to adhere to the conditions of the agreement entered into with the LCB board, placing additional restrictions upon the subject license.
These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge, and can also mandate training for the licensee in an effort to educate them on the requirements of being a licensee.
