Woman cited after paraphernalia is found
A New Ringgold woman was cited by Tamaqua police after someone observed her acting in a suspicious manner on Mondayat Boyer's Food Mart along Cedar Street.
An officer in the area was approached by a woman who said another woman appeared to be doing drugs in front of the store. The officer checked and found Marissa Ann Sabol, 42, of Mush Dahl Road, just beginning to walk away. She left behind a cigarette pack, tossed on the sidewalk.
The officer suggested she pick up the pack or be cited for littering. As she tried to pick up her trash Sabol appeared to be under the influence of some type of drug and was asked if the officer could check her backpack. She took out several items, then said the bag was empty. The officer asked if he could check. She gave him the bag.
Inside a zippered pocket the officers found three hypodermic needles, a silver spoon and several empty wax paper packets.
Sabol was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
