A look back: Oct. 18, 1975

Members of the Summit Hill Senior Citizens celebrated their ninth anniversary dinner with a buffet on Friday at Bossard’s Restaurant, Lehighton.

President Russell Meyers presided at the brief business meeting that preceded the dinner. Leading the prayers was assistant chaplain Anna Meyers.

Laird Henry and Esther Rabayda were honored as the oldest man and woman present. Attractive planters, donated by Mrs. Meyers, were given as prizes to Rose Rapone, Cornelia Kern and Gertrude Knepper.

A Christmas party committee named will consist of Helen Billig, Anna Meyers and Mamie McCullion.
