Monroe teacher charged with sex assault counts

A teacher at a behavioral school in Monroe County, has been charged with sexual assault counts.

State police at Stroudsburg said Jonathan Smith, 27, of Blakeslee, who is a teacher at the Pennsylvania Treatment and Healing School, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with institutional sexual assault and related counts.

Troopers said the arrest was the result of an investigation into reported indecent contact with students at the school. No other details were released.
