We support Clerk of courts appointment

In response to the Times News article on Oct. 29, we would like to congratulate Francine Heaney on her appointment to the Carbon County Clerk of Courts position.

My husband and I have known Fran for 18 years. Our family has shared many holidays and events with her family over those years. Comments regarding her “drinking” are exaggerated. And yes, we love to see the fun outfits that Fran will be wearing. That’s part of her personality! At work, she dresses professionally.

As to comments regarding her abilities, we think her appointment speaks for itself.

We fully endorse this appointment and know she will take full advantage of this opportunity and make her family and friends proud.
