State police - thefts

State police at Lehighton reported the following incidents:

• A vehicle that was stolen in Eldred Township was discovered completely burned in the woods of Hell Hollow Road, Penn Forest Township, on Oct. 7.

Police said the victim, a 20-year-old man from Palmerton, reported the theft at 10:52 a.m. The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro was found at 12:40 p.m. burned and abandoned in the woods.

• Police are investigating a theft that was reported at 10:56 p.m. Oct. 21 at Relentless Towing, 869 Interchange Road, Polk Township, Kresgeville.

Video surveillance shows an unidentifiable person removing the tail lights from a Pontiac Grand Am and leaving the scene. The estimated loss is $200.

• A 39-year-old Palmerton woman is the victim of a theft by deception case in which someone used her credit card information to make an illegal purchase.

The incident was reported at 3:17 p.m. Oct. 24 when the Lafayette Avenue resident said someone purchased $150.20 worth of iTunes gift cards without her permission.

• A 45-year-old Towamensing Township resident reported to police at 3:15 p.m. Oct. 24 that someone used his information to open a Kohl’s credit card.
