Eastern Schuylkill Democratic Club
The Eastern Schuylkill Democratic Club met on Oct. 22 and welcomed 22 new members. President Karen Davison encouraged those who want to join to contact membership chair Joan Deitrich at 570-668-4679 or by attending monthly meeting at the Tamaqua Elks Club on the fourth Monday of each month. Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, the November meeting will be held on Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.
Plans are underway for a Christmas party to be held at the Mary D fire company on Dec. 3. All members and their guests are welcome.
The club encompasses the townships of Rush, Schuylkill, Walker and West Penn and the boroughs of Coaldale, McÂAdoo, New Ringgold and Tamaqua.
