Carbon man facing theft in Lehigh
A Carbon County man is facing a charge of retail theft in Lehigh County.
State police at Fogelsville said Christopher John Kovalchick, 31, of Lehighton, was arrested for an incident at 10:55 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Giant Food Market at 7150 Hamilton Blvd. in Lower Macungie Township.
Troopers said Kovalchick entered the store and proceeded throughout the store acquiring merchandise, including crab legs, steaks and razor blades, then leaving without paying for the times. The total value of the items taken was $566.24.
Troopers said Kovalchick fled in a silver pickup.
