Bayonet used during argument

A Schuylkill County man is facing aggravated assault and related charges following an incident involving a 12-inch bayonet.

State police at Frackville said Curt Jacob Marquardt, 29, of Frackville, and Robert James McClintock, 40, of Girardville, got into a verbal argument about 3:30 a.m. on Friday at a residence along Vine Street in Girardville. The argument turned physical, at which time McClintock pulled out a bayonet and a struggle ensued. During the struggle, Marquardt received minor stab wounds. He was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital South, Pottsville, for treatment of injuries to his face and hands.
