Pictures with Santa
The Palmerton Area High School Class of 1972 will one again be sponsoring Pictures with Santa from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 17 at the Aquashicola Fire Company.
Support group
The monthly Grief and Loss Support Group will meet at Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Trachsville on Nov. 14 at 1 p.m. Directed by a professional counselor, this group is for people experiencing grief due to trauma, loss or death. It is an effort to assist people in the surrounding community to heal and find peace. Everyone is welcome. There is no cost.
Our family history
Do you know who your family is? There’s a chance to find out. Come to the Palmerton Area Library on Nov. 13 or the second Tuesday of each month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. to learn how to research your family history.
Free community meal
A free community meal will be served from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 891 Columbia Ave., Palmerton. Come enjoy a meal and fellowship.
Class of 1955
Palmerton Area High School Class of 1955 will meet at the West End Saloon on Mauch Chunk Road at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 14. Any questions, call Dorothy at 610-826-4751.
Jerusalem UCC
Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Trachsville will be honoring veterans of all branches of the service during worship services on Sunday. Services are at 9 and 10:30 a.m. Reminder if you ordered filling, orders may be picked up from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 11 and Nov. 18.
Craft & vendor show
A Fall Craft & Vendor Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 891 Columbia Ave., Palmerton.
Benefit basket social
A basket social and bake sale will be held at the Palmerton Ambulance Building on Dec. 1. The benefit is to help raise money for the families of Jeremy Behler and Kylee Mullen. Money raised will go to their son left behind due to the passing of both his parents in a tragic accident. Please call 484-629-0174 for information. Any donations of baskets or bake good would be greatly appreciated.
