Published August 31. 2016 04:01PM

McAdoo police filed charges against Francis Carr, 54, of Drums in connection with a July 2 traffic stop.

An officer on patrol stopped Carr's silver Honda at 3:31 a.m. on South Kennedy Drive for a nonworking brake light. The officer noticed the smell of marijuana wafted from inside the car as well as several signs of possible intoxication. Carr was given, and failed, field sobriety tests.

He was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and the traffic violation.
