Crews respond to fire at Weissport clothing factory building

An old clothing factory building in Weissport was able to be saved after it caught fire Wednesday afternoon.

The fire was reported at the structure at 329 Franklin St. just before 1 p.m.

It is believed that there were no injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Crews from Lehighton, Franklin, Nesquehoning, Jim Thorpe, Summit Hill, Lansford, East Penn, Bowmanstown and Jim Thorpe were called to the scene.
