Inmate caught with drug patch

A Carbon County inmate is facing a drug charge after she brought drugs into the prison.

Nesquehoning police charged Lori Fatzinger, 53, of Oak Street, Palmerton, with possession of drugs.

On Aug. 21, police were called to the county prison after contraband was found.

Upon arrival, prison staff turned over a fentanyl patch, which was found in Fatzinger's shoe. Fatzinger is an inmate and was reporting back from work release at the time.

She admitted that she brought the patch into the prison.
