Lansford man cited for drunkenness

Tamaqua police cited Thomas Edwards, 64, of Lansford, after an incident on Sept. 15 at the Wine and Spirits Store on North Railroad Street.

Edwards was in the store to purchase alcohol, but was already so visibly intoxicated that personnel refused to make a sale. When Edwards refused to leave without the alcohol, police were called.

Edwards was transported to his residence and cited for public drunkenness.
