Woman rescued in Pottsville fire
A woman was rescued from her burning home Sunday afternoon in Pottsville. The fire was reported at noon in the700 block of West Market street with smoke and flames showing.
Initial reports from the scene were the woman was trapped inside.
According to reports on the scene, a dog was killed in the blaze and possibly a cat is missing.
Fire companies from throughout Schuylkill County responded.
The flames quickly spread from the woman's home to an adjoining apartment building.Â
