Tamaqua man cited for public drunkenness

Merle D. Glaspie Jr., 40, of 28 Clay St., Tamaqua, was cited by Tamaqua Police after an incident on Aug. 25.

Officers received a call at 12:13 a.m. about a heavyset male who was passed out in the road in the unit block of Clay Street. The male was later identified as Glaspie.

Due to his incoherent condition, Glaspie was transported to St. Luke's Miners Hospital, Coaldale, by ambulance personnel.

He was cited for public drunkenness.
