A look back: Dec. 12, 1972

The annual reorganizational meeting of the Panther Valley School District Board of Education was held last evening in the library of the senior high school, where John Morana of Summit Hill was unanimously re-elected president.

William Knepper of Lansford was elected vice president. John Mongi, board member, served as temporary chairman for the reorganization procedures.

Other board members are Francis Dolan, Joseph Fiorentino, Michael Lukac, Robert Stianche, Paul Sheers and Dr. Robert Arner.

Attorney John Cipko, Lansford, will continue to advise the board as its solicitor. George Thear is the district’s superintendent.
