Schuylkill man steals vehicle, later caught

A Schuylkill County man stole a car at a county mall and was later apprehended in Berks County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said William Flail, 42, of Minersville was at the Cressona Mall in North Manheim Township in a parking lot near the Giant Market when he confronted a 41-year-old woman from Cressona. He pushed the victim out of her car and fled in the vehicle.

Later Flail was involved in a pursuit with state police at Hamburg and was taken into custody along Route 61 in Berks County.

Flail was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property and harassment.

Flail was taken to the Berks County prison.
