Historical society open house

There will be an open house at the Nesquehoning Historical Society from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The society is located at 157 W. Railroad St. at the site of the former Nesquehoning Baptist Church.

Everyone in the community is invited to this free event.

Local musician Dave Matsinko will be sharing old-time music selections and historian Vince Hydro will answer questions about the railroad.

A special selection of vintage Christmas toys will be on display for the holidays.

For those who would like to join the Nesquehoning Historical society, the dues are $10 per year. Payment can be made on Saturday or mailed by check or money order to the Nesquehoning Historical Society, 157 W. Railroad St., Nesquehoning, PA 18240.
