Dear Bruce,

Thank you for your illuminating opinion column.

I first took notice of your work earlier this year when you wrote a piece titled, “At the school house gate,” and was finally moved to let you know I’m a fan after reading “Local communities struggle to make ends meet.”

I really enjoy how well you look at various angles of a topic and provide historical perspective, without an overt political stance.

You are a true journalist and I hope our community continues to benefit from your writing for years to come.
