Tamaqua businesses collect for Toys For Tots

  • Empty

The Padora and Berger families, owners of Padora’s Italian Bakery and Six Pack House in Tamaqua, conducted its annual Toys For Tots drive, exchanging a fresh loaf of handmade Italian bread for a toy. The families have been conducting toy drives for many years, a tradition started by family matriarch Caroline Padora. Amber Berger Murphy, family representative, wants to thank “everyone who made this year’s Toys for Tots drive extra special in memory of Carolyn Padora. It was greatly appreciated. We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!” The dozens of donated toys included two bicycles this year. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
