Penn State’s McGovern Going Pro
Connor McGovern announced early Wednesday afternoon via his Twitter account that he will forego his senior season at Penn State and enter the NFL Draft.
McGovern, a graduate of Lake-Lehman High School, has been a fixture on the offensive line at Penn State for the last three seasons.
After enrolling at Penn State in January of 2016, McGovern appeared in 13 games for the Nittany Lions, making nine starts as a true freshman.
As a sophomore he started all 13 games at center, and this year once again started every game, making 11 starts at right guard and one at center.
He was moved to right guard over the summer between his sophomore and junior year.
In November, NFL draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. listed McGovern as his top guard prospect for the 2019 NFL draft. The 2019 NFL Draft will be held April 25-27 in Nashville, Tennessee.
