2019 Reorganization meeting: West Penn Township supervisors

The same leadership will be at the controls for West Penn Township in 2019.

Supervisor Tony Prudenti was reappointed board chairman during the board of supervisors reorganization meeting on Monday.

The board also reappointed Supervisor Timothy Houser as vice chairman.

Also as part of its reorganization, the board approved the following:

• Karen Wittig, treasurer, $27,165.

• Katie Orlick, secretary, meeting/recording secretary for board of supervisors and planning commission meetings, right-to-know officer, $17.50 per hour.

• Herb Woodring, assistant secretary, assistant right-to-know officer, $15.25 per hour.

• Paul Datte, solicitor, board of supervisors and planning commission, $135 per hour, $250 retainer fee.

• Bill Anders, engineer, Lehigh Engineering LLC and UCC building code administrator.

• Robert S. Frycklund, zoning hearing board attorney, $95 per hour.

• A resolution appointing Lehigh Engineering LLC for administration and building code enforcement, and adoption of the fee schedule.

• Reappointed Ronald Calarco to the zoning hearing board.

• Reappointed Bruce Zehner and Paul Barth to the park commission, west.

• Appointed Fred Gimbi to ground maintenance, park west, $11.25 an hour.

• James Akins and James Dean, Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission.

• Adopted a resolution establishing sewage enforcement officer procedures and fees.

• William Brior, sewage enforcement officer; Bill Anders, Lehigh Engineering LLC, alternate sewage enforcement officer; Samantha Brior, alternate sewage enforcement officer.

• Singleton Harvey, road master, $23.10 per hour.

• Jeremy Frable, road crew full-time leader/driver/laborer, $22.84 per hour.

• Brian Reeser and Nathan Henry, road crew full-time driver/laborer, $19.97 per hour.

• Clint Schock, road crew full-time driver/laborer/mechanic, $19.97 per hour.

• Joseph Fritz, Larry Faust, seasonal road crew laborer/plow, $17 per hour; Jordan Georgis, James Dean, seasonal road crew laborer/plow, $16 per hour.

• Brian Johnson, chief of police, $55,714.

• Jason Lorah, sergeant, full-time, $23.79 per hour.

• John Kazczmarczyk, corporal, $20 per hour.

• Dean Deam, Dane O/Brien, Harry Brown, Christopher Fischi, Brandon Alexander, Todd Woodward, Frank Lorah, part-time patrolmen, $19 per hour; Anthony Houser, part-time patrolman, $18.50 per hour; Paul Vlcek, Zach Evans, part-time patrolmen, $18 per hour.

• Brian Johnson, flood plain administrator.

• Ted Bogosh, PSATS delegate for the PSATS conference.

• JoAnn Kunkle, cleaning person, office, $11.25 an hour.

• Reappointed David Frederick to the planning commission.

• Reappointed Bill Varano to the property maintenance appeals board.

• Adopted a resolution for the establishment of the fire chief and assistant fire chief.

• Dennis Fritzinger Jr., fire chief.

• Jeff Bradford and Cloyd Troxell, assistant fire chiefs.

• Approved the township fire company’s activities for 2019.

• Dennis Fritzinger Jr., emergency management coordinator.

• Kevin Mengel, assistant emergency management coordinator.

• Chester Snyder, vacancy board chairman.

• Supervisors Prudenti in charge of office, Bogosh in charge of police and Houser in charge of road crew.

• Approved paid holidays for the full-time union employees and full-time nonunion employees.

• Approved the board of supervisors’ evening meetings for 7 p.m. the first Monday of each month and the morning meetings for 9 a.m. the third Monday of each month.

• Approved the planning commissions’ meetings for 7 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of each month.

• Approved the zoning hearing boards’ meetings for 7 p.m. the second Monday of each month as needed.
