Police investigate phone scam
A phone scam that occurred Wednesday in Schuylkill County remains under investigation.
State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the incident, which occurred at 4:15 p.m. at a Schuylkill Mountain Road residence in South Manheim Township.
Police said the victim received a phone call requesting a donation to state police to assist members and their families.
The victim agreed to donate $20 through a credit card, but upon realizing it was a scam, canceled the credit card.
