Vehicle stop leads to charges

A vehicle stop in Schuylkill County led to the driver facing charges.

State police at Frackville said Michael Kostura, 49, of Pottsville, was stopped at 1:51 p.m. on Jan. 2 along West Main at Julia streets in Butler Township, for an inspection violation. At the stop, it was determined that Kostura had several smoking pipes used to smoke methamphetamine in his possession.

Drug charges were filed, troopers said. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
