Carbon County court – DUI

Three defendants, who previously entered guilty pleas to driving under the influence charges, were sentenced recently in Carbon County court.

President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II imposed the following sentences:

Devin Michael Lutsko, 21, of Lehighton, was sentenced to serve 30 days to six months in prison, pay a fine of $1,500 and his license was suspended for a year.

He was arrested on July 31, 2018, along North Street by Jim Thorpe police. A test revealed a 0.19 BAC.

He began serving the prison term on Dec. 28 at 8 p.m. and will serve it on consecutive two-day weekends.

Corey Sexton, 25, of Tamaqua, was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in jail, a fine of $1,000 and a one-year license suspension.

He was arrested on July 21, 2017, by Lehighton police along Third Street. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.

He was given credit for four days already served and paroled. The term runs consecutive to another sentence he is currently serving in Carbon County.

Travis Workman, 29, Palmerton, was placed on probation for six months and ordered to pay a fine of $300 for a first offense.

He was arrested by Palmerton police on March 23, 2018, along Route 248 east. The term runs consecutive to a Lehigh County case he is currently serving.

Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000, a $50 per month supervision fee while on parole or probation and follow any recommendation of their drug and alcohol evaluation.
