CareNet offers parenting classes on Wednesdays

CareNet of Carbon County is offering parenting classes through Feb.20.

Classes will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at Family Promise of Carbon County, 167 S. Third St., Lehighton.

Classes are designed to provide parents with information for the care of children and the strengthening of their families, to provide support to parents, both emotionally and spiritually, to educate parents so they can be proactive instead of reactive and to develop a confidential relationship so that parents can feel free to share and discuss the matters being presented within a confidential environment.

The schedule is:

Jan. 23: “Discovering What Kind of Parent You Are”

Jan. 30: “Discovering Your Child’s Personality Type”

Feb. 6: “Overcoming the Major Destroyer of Families”

Feb. 13: “Providing Loving Support to Your Child”

Feb. 20: “Contracts: Setting Limits”
