Nis Hollow Estates, the sprawling mobile home park situated atop the Mahoning Mountain and encompassing territory in both East Penn and Mahoning townships, was sold during a public auction sale yesterday.
The successful bidder was Care Free Village Mobile Home Sales in Walnutport. Care Free is paying a bid price of $573,000 for the complex.
The sale was ordered by the United States District Court Scranton. A total of 32.8 acres was involved in the sale, which included mobile home park setups on both the east and west sides of Township Route 354.
The complex originally was a project of R&F Enterprises Inc., Lehighton R.6, and was begun in 1976.
