A New Jersey man is facing drug charges in Monroe County following an incident that occurred at 8:17 a.m. on Jan. 15.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers responded to Summit Avenue in Pocono Summit for a report of a suspicious vehicle at the dead end of the street. Police arrived on scene and observed a black Lincoln MKX with a man inside. Police identified the male as Dominic A. Gredone, 20, of Villas, New Jersey.

While speaking with Gredone, officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A consent search was conducted which revealed a sandwich bag half-full of raw marijuana along with a cigar wrapper containing marijuana.

Gredone was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and released.
