Bethany EC Church
Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship at 10:45 a.m. with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.
Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class; fellowship time, 10:15 a.m.; preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Bethany EC annual congregational meeting following morning worship Jan. 27.

Crossroads Community Church
Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St., holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Jim Banks. It is a place for a fresh start with God.
Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; fellowship following service.
Tuesday: Adult Bible study at 6:30 p.m., currently studying the book of Ephesians.
Communion: Last Sunday of the month.
Trinity happenings
Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., begins at 9:30 a.m. Students and families of Jack and Jill Preschool will be recognized. The preschool children will take part in the service with songs and rhymes. The Rev. Moore and music director, Sue Lovejoy, will have a special children’s message and sing songs that celebrate families. Vicar Richard Bergen assists. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.
Jack and Jill Preschool was started in 1978 providing safe, caring Christian preschool education to the children of the area. Beginning Feb. 4, families can register their 3-through-preschool age child to attend one of the classes that will start in September. Sunday church school for students ages 3 through sixth grade starts at 10:45 a.m. The snow makeup day for the annual congregational meeting is at 10:45 a.m. Feb. 3. This is an amended update from previous announcements. No Sunday school classes will be held that day.
“Breaking Bread” youth group for students in grades seven through 12 will meet in the youth room from 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 27. Led by Vicar Bergen, the group has supper, Bible study with discussion, service project and games.
First Saturday worship with Holy Communion is 5 p.m. Feb. 2.
