Carbon County court — revocations
A Carbon County woman violated the conditions of her parole in a driving under the influence case and was recently resentenced to a county jail term.
Stephanie Barron, 37, of Nesquehoning, was sentenced by Judge Steven R. Serfass on March 2, 2018, to serve 72 hours to six months in jail. She was given credit for eight days already served and paroled.
However, probation officer Joseph Bettine, of the adult probation office, filed a petition to revoke her parole for violating conditions of her release by not making a concerted effort to pay her court costs; failing to complete drug and alcohol treatment; failing to complete highway safety classes; and failing to complete 25 hours of community service.
Serfass resentenced her to serve three months back time in the county prison effective Jan. 11.
ARD revoked
Andrew Cyr, 34, of McAdoo, had his placement in the county’s Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program on a charge of possession of a controlled substance revoked on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by failing to pay court costs; failing to obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommendations; and failing to complete 50 hours of community service.
President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II ordered Cyr’s case be placed on the next pretrial list set for Feb. 21.
