Carbon County native attorney John P. Lavelle Jr. was elected to the board of directors of the law firm of Hangley Aronchick Segal and Pudlin, Philadelphia.
A son of Carbon County President Judge John P. Lavelle and attorney Marianne Lavelle, the 34-year-old attorney is a litigator whose practice includes intellectual property, civil RICO and general business cases. He graduated cum laude from the Harvard School of Law in 1988 and in 1985 earned an A.B. degree magna cum laude in classics from Princeton University.
In addition to his new duties at the firm, Lavelle was also appointed chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Federal Courts Committee and co-chair of the association’s Business Litigation Committee.
