New troopers assigned to our region

Acting Commissioner Robert Evanchick announced that 96 cadets graduated from the State Police Academy in Hershey and have been assigned to troops across the commonwealth.

The men and women represent the 154 graduating cadet class. The ceremony at Scottish Rite Cathedral marked the culmination of 27 weeks of classroom and physical training.

Cadet Nicholas Reginella III, from Lancaster County, spoke on behalf of the graduating class. Included among the graduates are the following from our area: Erin N. Harris of Monroe County assigned to Troop E, Girard; Jordan G. Mroczka of Schuylkill County, assigned to Troop H, Gettysburg; Joseph J. Julian Jr. of Schuylkill County, assigned to Troop L, Frackville; Sean F. Elenchin and Nicholas J. Reese, both of Schuylkill County and both assigned to Troop L, Schuylkill Haven; Michael V. King-Comerford of Monroe County assigned to Troop N, Hazleton; Grayson S. Peacock of Monroe County assigned to Troop N, Stroudsburg.
