Eldred supervisors

The Eldred Township Board of Supervisors is slated to meet at 7 p.m. today at township municipal building on Kunkletown Road.

Monthly meeting

American Legion Post 927 Home Association will have its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. today. The Legion itself will have its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Both will take place at the Post home in Gilbert.

Band parents

The Pleasant Valley Band Parents group will gather at 7 p.m. Thursday in the high school band room.

Lunch choices

The Monroe County Chestnuthill Seniors, which meet at Zion Lutheran in Brodheadsville, have a choice between a light luncheon or standard meal. For this Friday the light lunch includes: peppers, onion and cheese, quesadilla/bean salad, mango/pudding and juice. The regular meal for Friday coming is: stuffed shells with sauce, winter squash, Brussels sprouts, citrus fruit cocktail and whole wheat bread.

Next Wednesday’s choices are: light meal-Italian wrap, broccoli salad, apple, graham crackers and yogurt. The regular meal is baked ham, collard greens, sweet potatoes, whole grain bread, and sliced peaches.

Attendees must call the site manager at 570-242-6770 by 11 a.m. the day before to order. There is a nominal cost.
