Two-vehicle crash investigated in Ross

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a two-vehicle crash at 7:03 p.m. on Wednesday along Weir Lake Road in Ross Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Tyler J. Horton, 18, of Effort, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze eastbound at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the car. The Cruze crossed the double yellow line and struck a 2006 Jeep Liberty driven by Jennifer A. Berhel, 36, of Saylorsburg, head-on. After impact the Liberty traveled about 50 yards into a ditch. The Cruze came to rest at the point of impact.

Horton was injured but refused medical treatment. Berhel was not injured. Both vehicles had to be towed.
