    Palmerton youth wrestlers capture King of the Ridge title
    The Palmerton youth wrestling team recently wrapped up an outstanding season with its third consecutive King of the Ridge title and its fifth overall. The King of the Ridge championship concluded a campaign in which the Blue Bombers went 14-1 in regular season dual meets in the Valley Elementary Wrestling League, won their division for the first time in program history, and finished fourth overall in a league of 36 teams. There were also plenty of individual highlights for Palmerton. In the King of the Ridge Tournament, Connor Hibbell was named The Outstanding Wrestler by the referees for his overtime win in the 69-pound championship bout. The Bombers also had a number of strong performances in the Valley Elementary League tournaments. In the novice tournament, Trentin Pasquariello and Dominic Pereira placed first; Christopher Wells took third; and Owen Fox placed fourth. In the JV tournament, the Bombers’ Aiden Ortiz placed first, and TK Gursky finished third. In the varsity tournament, Palmerton got a fourth-place finish from Josh Merke; a sixth-place finish from Ben Negley; and seventh-place finishes from Ashton Solt and Dillon Anthony. The Palmerton youth wrestling team recently wrapped up an outstanding season with its third consecutive King of the Ridge title and its fifth overall. There were also plenty of Individual highlights for Palmerton.
