Pleasant Valley fills newly created slot

William Gasper has been hired a Director of Operations for the Pleasant Valley School District.

The position was created following the forced retirement of Director of Support Services Joshua Krebs. Krebs is currently under indictment for a number of counts related to a wiretap incident at the elementary school in 2017.

Gasper comes to the district from Boyertown Area School District, where he served as facilities engineer. He will earn a salary of $98,500 per year.

The new position is geared more toward facilities maintenance and operations.

The district is continuing to aggressively hire and train new substitute professional staff.

Nicholas Costantino, Stephanie Gursky, Kathleen Siekonic, Marilyn Detrick and Jacqueline Reddick has all been hired as new substitute teachers at $110 per day.

Shantel Gaton, Kelly Gombert, Heather Kowalczyk and Danielle Simpson have all completed the district’s substitute teacher training program.
