A look back: March 1, 1967
The Carbon County Commissioners today made two appointments to the county’s Airport Authority, thereby filling two of the three existing vacancies.
Arthur Raub of Palmerton, and John Rudelitsch of Mahoning Valley, were named to the board. They succeed Dr. John F. Rhodes, whose term expired, and William Garrett, who resigned. Both men are from Lehighton.
The term of Jacob Arner, Lehighton has expired, creating the other vacancy. He has been serving as the airport operator. The other two members of the board are David Foster and Wilbur J. Kunkle, both of Lehighton.
